Utilva Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 21, 2026

At Utilva, your privacy is not just a feature; it is the foundational architectural principle of our entire application. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data and explains our commitment to a zero-knowledge, local-first environment.

1. Zero Data Collection & Processing

Utilva operates entirely within your web browser. When you use our utilities, whether you are merging PDFs, extracting audio, compressing video, or generating passwords, your files never leave your device.

We do not upload, process, or store your data on external servers. All computational tasks are executed locally using advanced client-side technologies like WebAssembly (WASM) and Edge inference. Because your data is never transmitted to us, we have zero capability to view, harvest, or monetize your personal files.

2. No Accounts, No Paywalls, No Tracking

We believe privacy requires anonymity.

3. Cryptographic Utilities

Our developer and security utilities (such as the Password Generator, Hash Generator, and Base64 Encoder) utilize the native WebCrypto API provided by your modern browser. This ensures that cryptographic operations are performed within a highly secure, sandboxed environment on your local machine. We do not log the inputs you provide or the outputs generated.

4. Local Storage

To provide a seamless, high-performance experience, Utilva may utilize localized browser storage (such as localStorage or IndexedDB) to save your application preferences, pinned tools, or temporary workspace states. This data remains strictly on your local hard drive and is never synchronized to the cloud. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's cache.

5. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external resources or articles. Once you leave the Utilva platform, our local-first protections no longer apply, and you will be subject to the privacy policies of those external domains.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect technical improvements or legal requirements. Because we do not collect contact information, we cannot notify users directly. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
